About this share
An eighth comes off our standard cut list rather than a cut sheet of your own — steaks, roasts and ground in the usual proportions. The share to start with if you have never filled a freezer before, or if there are one or two of you.
How a share gets paid for.
- 1Your $150 deposit reserves an animal. That’s all you pay today.
- 2On harvest day the butcher weighs the carcass on the rail.
- 3We bill the balance off that real weight, before pickup — not off the estimate on this page.
Cut-and-wrap is paid to the butcher, not to us, so you will write two cheques rather than one. We’ll walk you through the cut sheet, and how buying works lays out what you pay and when, the pounds, the freezer room and what a pound of beef really costs you.

There’s more on the shelf.
Shares, steaks, roasts, ground beef and bundles — all of it off animals raised here in Kamiah.
